In our community, the local humane society stands as a beacon of hope and compassion for abandoned and mistreated animals. Yesterday, we had a great time with Multifamily NW at Greenhill Humane Society to help drop off donations from Multifamily NW’s pet drive and fundraising efforts. We are proud to participate with Multifamily NW to support this organization as it made a meaningful impact on everyone involved.
The Mission of Greenhill Humane Society
Greenhill Humane Society has been caring for animals in Lane County since 1944 and operates the only animal shelter within the Eugene/Springfield area. They provide shelter, animal adoptions, reunite lost animals with their families, and more. They also work to educate the public about responsible pet ownership and the importance of spaying and neutering to control the pet population. Their tireless efforts have saved the lives of many animals, giving them a second chance at happiness. Food Donation Drop-Offs: Nourishing the Needy One of the simplest yet most impactful ways to help Greenhill Humane Society is through food donations, which Multifamily NW organized during the Spring. The importance of nutritious food cannot be overstated. It ensures that every animal under their care receives the sustenance they need to stay healthy and happy while awaiting adoption.
The staff at Greenhill Humane Society said that the money that you would spend on one bag of food could buy five bags of food with their discounts, which is huge. Knowing that our donations help fill hungry bellies is incredibly rewarding, and seeing the grateful looks from the staff and volunteers at Greenhill Humane Society reinforces the importance of contributions.
